The smallest of Toyota's hybrid, the Prius C is 19 inches shorter than the regular compact sedan Prius. It is also the cheapest of their family members and is among the cheapest ways to enter a hybrid vehicle. It's also not a watered-down hybrid vehicle. The estimated EPA fuel market is 50 mpg. Our annual evaluation shows that the number is somewhat optimistic (we've averaged 45 mpg over 16,000 kilometers, but has reached 50 mpg charging time). In addition to the good fuel efficiency, the C-reduction and lower weight is also a breeze for the agile and for parking.
The downside is that the C backend position is pretty obvious. The ride quality can sometimes be tough, and the interior is filled with unsightly tough plastics. The Prius C can be loud indoors and slow compared to its competitors. However, we do not think about these deal-breakers given its high-MPG task. And given Toyota's solid reputation for reliability and reduced cost of ownership, there's no additional hybrid that's comparable.

The two motors are powered by a nickel-metal hydride battery of 0.9 kWh, which is mounted under the rear seat. Thanks to the EV construction method, the Prius C can drive more than one mile even at reduced speed. The operator has a very light light.

Turning the accelerator in speed, though, along with the Prius C getting 50 to 70 miles requires 8.3 minutes, either or 0.4 seconds more than the standard CVT-equipped three-cylinder Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback. The 15,490 Mitsubishi also manages to comply with the hybrid Toyota 43-mpg road EPA rating. A figure of this Toyota Prius C four-rated car 2017 equated on our 75-Mph road fuel economy test.
We just averaged 36 mpg in Prius C over 550 miles of combined usage - that's 10 mpg worse than the EPA's shared rating and 3 mpg. This is worse than what we got in the 2012 rating. The Prius C weighs 47 less (and has 0.5 seconds faster to 60 mph). Our observed fuel market was also no bigger than the one we listed for an automatically equipped Toyota Yaris iA (born Scion iA).
Modulation combining mechanical and regenerative braking characteristics. The weather conditions prevented our usual 300-foot rating of the sled, but the past Prius C we putted recorded a small 0.79 gram traction.

Inside, the Prius C comes with extra piano black plastic. The wipe-friendly surfaces correspond to the standard functions such as automatic air-conditioning. A 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment program. A steering wheel with integrated Bluetooth and audio controllers. The disturbing center-mounted tool cluster takes over. However, the dashboard and door panels continue to be made from sturdy, inexpensive vinyl pieces.
The interior is surprisingly spacious, as the small footprint of the Prius C and also the legroom of the back shirts are those of the larger Prius.

Lock close with the first push button and navigation. Our Prius C Four test car also features a $ 395 Tangerine Splash Pearl pink coat worth 224 carpet rug to deliver a test. Cost of about $ 26,479 - $ 419 larger than the usual Toyota Prius 2 Eco non-C with well equipped. EPA rated version in 58 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the road. The larger and faster Prius produces eight cubic feet of additional cargo space.
There was a short time when the Prius C needed a purpose in But. His larger Prius Stablemate has undergone extensive improvements since then and appears to represent a much better value. This junior variant is not as fascinating to drive as traditional small car models. And offers inadequate fuel market to counter this deficit. It's not your best option, whether you hate it as a hybrid vehicle or as a compact car.
